Salkantay Trekking in 5 Days  + Zipline

This incredible hike runs under the magnificent Salkantay mountain (6,271 m/ 20,569 feet), one of the highest and most spectacular in the Andes. The Salkantay Trek was recently named on the National Geographic Ultimate Adventure list – defined as “The 20 Most Extreme, Scary and Legendary Adventures on the Planet”. It is a walk open to everyone, and the most popular alternative to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.

This trek offers 4 days through various landscapes including highlands, cloud forest, rainforest and dry mountain. Along the way you have an impressive view of Apu Salkantay, Pumasillo Mountain and Humantay Mountain, three of the most impressive peaks of the Vilcabamba Mountain Range. The first night you’ll feel like you can touch the stars. As if the beauty of the stars weren’t enough, you will be surrounded by Salkantay Lake, the glaciers of the Salkantay and Humantay mountains and the indescribable moraines (natural formations of small hills produced by the pressure of ice falling from the glaciers above).

Of course, you can’t skip the zip line. This will be one of the most exciting experiences of your life. You’ll have your zip-line adventure on day 4 of the hike.

Our standard package includes premium hotel accommodations on the fourth night of the trek, a unique coffee plantation tour on the afternoon of day 3, your ticket to soak in the wonderful thermal waters of Santa Teresa and dinner at the best restaurant in Aguas Calientes. Your ticket to climb the Huayna Picchu mountain after your Machu Picchu tour is also included.

We will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning and have a beautiful 3-hour panoramic walk to Mollepata. In Mollepata we will have breakfast in one of the local houses.
